Support in Crisis
Our Mission & Vision
The Crisis in Sudan
Sudan is currently grappling with an acute humanitarian crisis that ignited on April 15th, 2023, due to violent clashes between the military and the RSF, a paramilitary group, primarily in Khartoum and Nyala. This conflict rapidly escalated, impacting major cities such as Al-Fasher, Wad Madani, Geneina, and Sannar, leading to widespread instability across the region. Millions are now facing critical shortages of essential resources, including food, water, and electricity, as schools, universities, and hospitals have been forced to close their doors. The ongoing displacement of individuals has further exacerbated the situation, making the need for urgent humanitarian aid more crucial than ever.
The conflict has left many families without homes, forcing them to seek refuge in overcrowded camps. The lack of clean water and sanitation facilities in these camps has led to the spread of diseases, further endangering the lives of those already suffering. Children are particularly vulnerable, with many unable to attend school and facing severe malnutrition.
Despite the dire situation, organizations like Sanaabile are working tirelessly to provide relief. Our teams are on the ground, delivering essential supplies and medical aid to those in need. However, the scale of the crisis requires a collective effort, and we urge everyone to support our mission to bring hope and relief to the people of Sudan.
